Wew yes it has been a bit of time since I checked in here. While still acting and consistently getting paid! my focus has shifted to directing and producing. My short "Release" (www.releasethefilm.com) will be in the Short Film Corner at the 2008 Cannes International Film Festival. That is exciting. And my main focus now is on Project Reel. (www.projectreel.org) Thanks to you all for your letters and support! Much more excitement to come! Stay tuned. One love, so much love.

"The Perfect Night"Divalicious Productions' first mini movie is shot and in post. I acted and produced this one with the dynamic writer/producer Lucy Wang (the "Without a Trace" Writer who just sold a pilot for Disney!). I am also excited as the feature film that I am directing just got Black Eyed Peas attached to the project, it is all moving forward with much haste and excitement. I am also in the final stages on pre-production for the Victor Williams short I am to shoot in NYC the first week in November. Life is excellent and it keeps getting better :).

The most exciting news is that I am directing a feature film called Brown Widow about latina gang girls in Compton. I am also in pre-production for Push and Release the short that I wrote starring Victor Williams (King of Queens) that my brother and I will shoot in NYC. I have been most inspired by the philosophy of Gift Economy where our currency is inspiration. I am only committing to work on projects which inspire me. This is most incredible and my life has never been richer. I am excited next month to move forward with David Lasdon's production of Mayflower and we are also shooting Date Aid.

Wow. Many things have been moving so fast that I just realized I haven't written in a while. It is time to check in! I am currently starring opposite James Denton (Desperate Housewives) and Erin O'Brien (his real life wife and also NYU Grad Actor) in Susan Johnston's latest play "How Cissy Grew." I play Cissy, rebel, sex pot, slightly dangerous teenager in a fantastic new play. I also just finished acting in Cedering Fox's latest Word Theatre event opposite Gil Bellows and Philip Baker Hall. Alfre Woodard watched me perform and that was thrilling! She introduced herself to me: "Hello i am Alfre...." Hee...hee....like I didn't know :) I will keep you posted as doors are opening left and right lately and the dreams are manifesting at a rapid pace.

2007 has had a wonderful start. I just finished playing the two leading parts in Lucy Wang's (Without a Trace) latest ten minute wonders at the Blank Theatre. I got to play Cinderella and a freshly liberated writer. I just got news that the play that I am producing Susan Johnston's "How Cissy Grew" is now having its next reading at The Odyssey Theatre. The most exciting news is that my parents will be played by James Denton (Desperate Housewives) and his real life wife Erin O'Brien (NYU Grad Actor). We will be having our first reading with them on May 14th, 2007. And I am still scheduled to shoot my movie this summer!!

It has been an extremely busy month. I just performed in Cedering Fox's show called "Dreams" in which I played a variety of roles. I had to cultivate my English, Southern and German accents and my favorite part was when I got to be Brittney Spears. I also got news that Susan Johnston's play "How Cissy Grew" is now to be workshopped again this April in conjunction with the NYU GRAD ACTING Collective and The Sundance Theatre Lab.

In September I booked my first feature film. It was only a month ago that I said to a friend: "I want to book a scene opposite a star, in a great movie, the role fits me perfectly and I pop out of nowhere." Two hours later, my managers called me with the audition, three days later I auditioned, one week later I got the call from Deb Aquilla casting that I had booked my first movie! Sept and Oct. I have been busy working on the play "The Reunion" created by my childhood friend Darcy Halsey. On Oct. 29th as part of NYU Graduate Acting's Oktoberfest I will be in Susan Johnston's new play as well as have a screening of "Results," the short that I wrote, directed and acted in. Moreover, producer Rada Owen and I have plans to produce an extraordinary play in the months to come. Things are taking off....and I am grateful.

Just came back from NYC where I am scouting locations for my next short that I am planning to shoot early 2007. Just last night I saw the second rough cut of my first short, "Results." Thanks to my new editor Troy Waters, the footage is looking fantastic. Need an EXCELLENT editor? Let me know and I will hook you up with Troy. Also I was just cast in a new piece by Diane Moss and I will be playing Summer a yoga teacher who likes to make friends with dirt. The writing is hilarious and I am super excited to do this writer's storytelling justice.

I traveled to Ireland over the holiday. After getting connected with my roots, I became determined to make great movies no matter what it takes. Quoting my beautiful brother "Why wait until you are George Clooney to write, direct and act in your own films?" I'm not.

This March collegue Chris Hall and I are rounding up some of my favorite peeps in Hollywood to shoot a short called Results. I plan to direct and explore the themes of trust. What happens when we forget to trust? We shall see. I'll keep you posted.

The NYU Grad mafia has been coming through on the west coast as Josephine was just cast in the short film "The Watcher" with Rainn Wilson (from "The Office") and Garrett Dillahunt from "Deadwood").

On her second pilot audition, she went to producers for Camryn Manheim’s pilot and has also been considered for the L-Word with Beth Klien, Four Kings with Jeff Greenberg, Halley’s Comet with Ken Miller, and an episode of Numbers with Mark Saks. She is continuing to keep up with the casting directors who expressed interest in her work after her NYU Graduate Acting showcase last spring: Jeff Meshel, Mark Saks, Sonia Nikore, Dawn Steinberg, Delia Frankel, Jason La Padura and Natalie Hart.

Moreover, she was recently featured in a Backstage West article, which covered the story of her mentor relationship with Camryn Manheim. From trips to Chateau Marmont to hanging out with the cast of the L Word, Camryn has provided many thrilling experiences, strong networking skills and has given her much support upon her arrival.
